African Union Leader on Developing Relations with DPRK

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Sim Tong Guk, permanent representative of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the African Union, presented his credentials to Moussa Faki Mahamat, chairman of the Commission of the African Union, on Oct. 8. Saying that the relations between the DPRK and the African Union have long historical tradition, the chairman expressed his gratitude to the DPRK for having rendered material and moral support to African countries in their struggle for national liberation in the past. Evincing his will to make efforts to develop the relations with the DPRK, the chairman extended warm felicitations to the Korean people celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. He sincerely wished the DPRK government and people bigger successes in the struggle for eradicating the aftermath of natural disasters as early as possible. |
