Joint Stamp Issued to Mark Anniversary of DPRK-Cuba Diplomatic Ties
Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- A ceremony of issuing joint stamp took place in Havana on October 8 to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Cuba.

Present there were Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla who is a?member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, officials of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, the Cuban Foreign Ministry and the Cuban Ministry of Communications and diplomatic envoys of different countries in Cuba.

Also present there were Ma Chol Su, DPRK ambassador to Cuba, and his embassy officials.

Speeches were made there.

Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, said that the joint stamp is issued with pleasure and pride on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Cuba and the DPRK.

He recalled that Cuba has supported the efforts of the Korean people to build a prosperous socialist state and achieve durable peace and stability in the Korean peninsula.

Cuba always remembers firm material and moral support to the Cuban revolution rendered by President Kim Il Sung during the Caribbean crisis, he added.

He stressed that the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries serves as an occasion in further cementing the will to continue the historical bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.

Ma Chol Su, DPRK ambassador to Cuba, called for further developing the cooperative relations in various fields such as politics, economy and culture, true to the noble intention of the preceding leaders and the top leaders of the two countries.
