Samjiyon People's Hospital Opens
Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- A new modern hospital was built in Samjiyon City that has wonderfully turned into the example of modern mountainous city in the era of the Workers' Party.

The Samjiyon City People's Hospital which has perfectly embodied the healthcare and medical requirements and the Juche-based idea on architectural beauty has full provision of ultra-modern medical equipment and apparatuses in all sections, efficient tele-medical service system and IT-based medical service for rapid and accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

An opening ceremony took place Thursday.

Present there were Ri Il Hwan, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Choe Sang Gon, department director of the WPK Central Committee, O Chun Bok, minister of Public Health, Ri Thae Il, chairman of Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the WPK, Ri Song Guk, chairman of the provincial people's committee, officials concerned, staff members of the hospital and working people in the City.

Ri Il Hwan in the opening speech said that the hospital is a gift provided by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in order to make the people in Samjiyon City who are living and working in the home village of Chairman Kim Jong Il lead a highly civilized life in good health with access to the most advanced medical care.

The Samjiyon City People's Hospital is the icon of local people's hospitals which has embodied the healthcare and medical requirements and the Juche-based idea on architectural beauty, he said, calling for effecting a fundamental change in the work of all treatment and prevention agencies and anti-epidemic units to give fuller play to the advantages of the socialist healthcare system in our country.

He called for winning a proud victory in the 80-day campaign toward the 8th Congress of the WPK by making devoted service for our great Party and state which build the best paradise for the people.
