Rodong Sinmun Calls for Ushering in Period of New Surge in Revolution
Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday in an editorial says that the 80-day campaign is an all-people offensive to successfully conclude this year's struggle and greet the Eighth Congress of the Party by keeping up the revolutionary fighting spirit raised with the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea as an occasion.

Steadfast is the determination and will of our Party to turn the 80-day campaign into the period of a new surge and great turn in our revolution, says the editorial and goes on:

All officials, party members and other working people should carry on their dynamic struggle in the direction indicated by the Party with stratagem and methods taught by it in order to implement the goal set forth by it, thus becoming victors in the 80-day campaign.

The main object of the 80-day campaign is to further intensify the nation-wide emergency anti-epidemic work to firmly consolidate the anti-epidemic front, conclude the campaign for recovery from natural disaster till the year end at any cost, finish this year's farming, concentrate on preparing next year's farming, complete this year's important national projects as early as possible and accelerate the year-end campaign for implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development.

The main purpose of the 80-day campaign is to establish creditable barriers for thoroughly checking the inroads of malignant virus into our territorial land, air and waters. It is also to greet the 8th Congress of the Party with splendor by successfully carrying out all tasks, including the projects for recovery from natural disasters and successful conclusion of this year's farming, in a proactive and responsible manner.

The editorial calls upon all the people to become honorable victors in the 80-day campaign of loyalty for ushering in the period of a new surge and great turn in our revolution, rallied close around Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
