Only after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country, he was granted land, his long-cherished desire. He then devoted himself to farming.

He bravely fought in the People's Army during the Fatherland Liberation War. In the post-war period he worked hard as a stockbreeder for decades. During those days he was honored to receive citation of the President.
