Gathering Held by Agricultural Workers
Kumchon, October 18 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) held an oath-taking gathering in Kangbuk-ri of Kumchon County, North Hwanghae Province on Sunday where they vowed to greet the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with proud victory by going all out in the 80-day campaign in response to the call of the great Party.

Kim Chang Yop, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers stressed that the ongoing 80-day campaign is an all-people offensive aimed at successfully concluding this significant year-end struggle and greeting the 8th Congress of the WPK more significantly by steadily raising the revolutionary fighting spirit which has become unusually high with the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK as an occasion.

They referred to the fact that Kangbuk-ri hit by floods has turned into a paradise and more wonderful houses for the people are being built at present thanks to the wise leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

They called on all agricultural workers and union members to follow the Party to the end of the earth.

They stressed the need to further raise the massive anti-epidemic atmosphere and the all-people voluntary unity with maximum awareness and thus consolidate the anti-epidemic situation.

They underscored the need to harvest all crops without any waste and devotedly defend the 8th Congress of the WPK by responsibly wrapping up this year's farming including threshing.

They ardently appealed to all the agricultural workers and union members across the country to wrap up farming and to raise fierce flames of a socialist emulation for making preparations for the next year's farming in the spirit displayed for the splendid celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the glorious WPK.
