45-ton Crane for Container Newly Manufactured in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Officials, technicians and workers of the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport and the Nampho Port newly manufactured and installed a 45-ton crane for container in our own way and successfully made its trial run.

The home-made gantry crane increased the port's container-lifting capacity 1.2 times more than before and made stevedoring easier.

This valuable success conducive to the development of marine transportation of the country is a proud fruition of the patriotic devotion made by the Korean working class with the spirit of self-development, who are breaking through head-on all difficulties and bottlenecks, regarding implementation of the Party policy as a lifeline.
