According to Dean Kim Jae Hwi, the faculty, divided into sports information, sports psychology, sports nutrition and coaching disciplines, started its tele-education on nearly 80 subjects in April Juche 106 (2017). More than 400 students are now getting this tele-education.

Ri Kun Yong from the Amnokgang Defence Sports Team, one of the first-term graduates, told KCNA:

I am now more solidly prepared in mental and sci-technological aspects. I will deepen my knowledge learnt through the tele-education and contribute to the development of the country's sports techniques.

Of late, the faculty set up sports management and mass sports disciplines additionally to widen the range of the tele-education and improve its quality.
