The Workers' Party of Korea convened its congresses in every important period of the developing revolution and clearly set forth tasks for fresh stage, and the Korean people have made labor achievements for the congresses of the Party by launching campaigns of loyalty.

The Korean people greeted the 5th Congress of the Party with pride of successfully carrying out the first seven-year national economic plan and historic tasks for socialist industrialization.

They also made gifts of ensuring economic growth to be specially recorded in national history for the 6th Congress of the Party.

The tradition of our people who greeted congresses of the Party with revolutionary great surge was displayed in the 70-day campaign for the 7th Congress of the Party.

In the 70-day campaign, they made valuable creations of self-reliance and self-development in the brave spirit of uninterrupted innovations and progress and successive offensives.

The Korean people are now making an all-out effort for greeting the 8th Congress of the Party with great success in the on-going 80-day campaign.
