Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Nam Sung U, its vice-chairman, and other officials, representatives of branches of Chongryon and women's union throughout Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu, full-time and part-time officials of the headquarters and branches of Chongryon.

The conference was held through video conferencing.

Pak Ku Ho read out the congratulatory message sent by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to the participants in the Conference of Representatives of Branches of Chongryon-2020 (Third Conference of a New Heyday).

Vice-Chairman Pae Jin Gu made a report.

He stressed that Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message that serves as important guidelines to the participants in the conference to add glory to the conference and put its historical status on the highest level although he was so busy with his guidance over the 80-day campaign for greeting the 8th Congress of the Party after the celebrations of the 75th founding anniversary of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea as the grand festival of victors.

He called on the participants to resolutely overcome all the difficulties by dint of the single-minded unity with a rock-firm faith that Chongryon and Koreans in Japan are sure to win as they are led by the Supreme Leader, the symbol of the cause of Juche?and the benevolent father of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, thus ushering in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan.

A congratulatory video sent by the homeland was shown there.

Speeches were followed.

Citations of model patriotic branches and citations of model branches of different sectors and model branch flags of a new heyday were conferred on exemplary branches of Chongryon and special prizes on their exemplary affiliates.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the conference.
