The letter said that the conference was held at a stirring time when the people of the homeland are all out in the 80-day campaign of loyalty toward the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea to usher in a new period of a great upsurge and change of the revolution.

Thanks to the meticulous leadership and warm love of Kim Jong Un, the conference has become a significant one for developing the work of the branches of Chongryon (the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) onto a new, higher stage by enhancing the functions and role of the branches, the basic units of Korean compatriots for living and direct undertakers of the patriotic tasks, in every way, the letter said. The conference also serves as a turning point for bringing about an upsurge in the campaign for setting an example of patriotism in the new heyday, it added.
