The motive force advancing and developing the revolution lie in our own driving force, not in any outside factor, says the editorial and goes on:

Our Party decided to wage the 80-day campaign and set forth an enormous task, because it is capable and confident of attaining any goal.

We have the single-minded unity of the Party and the masses which has been further consolidated in the face of decades-long cruel blockade and heavy pressure and unprecedented disasters. We also have wisdom and fighting strategy of our style that get stronger in the course of overcoming trials and difficulties by ourselves.

This was proved by the successes achieved for 20-odd days after the start of the 80-day campaign.

During those days the steel-strong anti-epidemic system and discipline were thoroughly kept and unprecedented innovations were made in the fields of the metal working, chemical, electric power, coal and machine-building industries and railway transport, despite the situation that human and material potentials are concentrated on the recovery from natural disasters. A campaign for increased production has been brisk in the units of construction and building-materials industry and hundreds of labor innovators who fulfilled the goals of the five-year strategy for national economic development have been produced in the field of the textile industry.

All these successes clearly show that there is nothing impossible when we wage a daring offensive of making a breakthrough head-on by depending on our strength and resources.

The spirit of self-development of our people and potentials of our state will be displayed more strikingly in the face of manifold trials and the 80-day campaign will be concluded with another great victory astonishing the world.
