Progress Made in Improving Quality of Products

Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Industrial establishments in the DPRK are striving to improve the quality of products. On February 2, Juche 70 (1981) President Kim Il Sung stressed the need to raise the quality of products and improve the quality control work. Since then, quality products have been listed as the February 2 goods in the country. This year the Quality Control Bureau registered more than 200 products from 40-odd units as the February 2 goods. Among them are silk quilt, uniforms and bags for primary schoolboys, Kaesong Koryo insam lotion, Kaesong Koryo insam toothpaste, strawberry sugar, fried-potato cake, seasoned laver and nutritive juice produced by the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill, the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory and other factories. Meanwhile, nearly 200 production processes at tens of units including the Pyongyang Taesong Jewel Processing Factory, Hadang Unha Garment Factory, Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory and the Hamhung Disabled Soldiers' Essential Plastic Goods Factory won the Q/C, food safety control system and GMP authentications. |
