It is acid calcium-sodium carbonate water spring gushing out in Chojong-ri, Unchon County of South Hwanghae Province.

This mineral water, known circa 1580, has various kinds of mineral matters and microelements and free carbonic acid and it is very efficacious for acute and chronic gastritis, chronic hepatitis, arthritis and diabetes. Bath with it helps improve the function of heart and the blood circulation and recover from fatigue quickly.

Its present gushing mouth was found by geological prospecting technicians in Juche 65 (1976).

When visiting Chojong-ri in late September 1973, Chairman Kim Jong Il tasted the mineral water and said that the county should spruce up this mineral spring and build a sanatorium there so that it can contribute to the promotion of people's health.
