Self-propelled Dredger for Tideland Reclamation Built in DPRK

| Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- Recently, workers and technicians of the Nampho Taegyong Fishery Station in the DPRK built a self-propelled dredger in close cooperation with teachers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology. The newly-built self-propelled dredger is used in digging up the earth from the bottom of West Sea. Its introduction makes it possible to speed up the tideland reclamation with less manpower, equipment and fuel. This dredger has two excavators and belt conveyer on the deck which can work all the time, irrespective of high and low tides. |
