Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, there are many cultural heritages which are of national value.

Among them is "Chronicles of the Feudal Joson Dynasty" that recorded the historical events and facts in the period of the feudal Joson dynasty (1392-1910).

This book in 1,763 volumes shows the history of the feudal Joson dynasty from the first king Thaejo to the 27th king Sunjong in a chronological order.

It deals with data on the then politics, economy, military affairs, diplomacy, education, ideology, religious belief, ethics, moral life, astronomy, weather, geography, medicine, natural phenomena and science and technology.

It also describes in detail the way of life and tradition of people in each region and the customs of neighbor countries and races, along with the struggles of the Korean people against foreign aggressors.

During the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953), President Kim Il Sung took measures to rescue the Chronicles of the Feudal Joson Dynasty from danger by bombing and preserve it well.
