Successes Made in Autumn Land Management

Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- An all-out campaign for autumn land management has been brisk in the DPRK. During the campaign, roads of hundreds of kilometers have been paved or remodeled, dredging of riverbeds of more than 2 millions of cubic meters completed and bank-protecting forests of tens of hectares newly created across the country. Officials of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and those in each province, city and county have responsibly directed the work after mapping out detailed plans to be fulfilled during the campaign. The work for sprucing up Pyongyang City as the grand and picturesque capital of the revolution has been brisk. Pavement and remodeling of roads have been vigorously conducted in Jagang and North Phyongan provinces and Nampho City. Officials and working people in various parts of the country have directed efforts into afforestation and water-conservancy, thus achieving many successes in creation of forests and bank-protecting forests, river improvement, construction of small- and medium-sized power stations, etc. |
