It contains 78 classical works such as historical speeches, statements, reports and conclusions made by the President from January to March, Juche 37 (1948).

The works comprehensively deal with the outstanding ideas, theories and strategic and tactical policies which gave profound and unique solutions to the theoretical and practical issues arising in further consolidating the Party and the people's power, hastening prosperity and development of the national economy and building a full-fledged independent sovereign state as early as possible by the own efforts of the Korean people after the liberation of the country.

Specified in works are also theoretical and practical issues arising in the revolution and construction, such as taking paternal care of the sons and daughters of the revolutionary martyrs and bringing them up to be reliable pillars for building a new country, developing the mass media for giving full play to the patriotic enthusiasm and creativity of the people.

There are also works calling on all patriotic and democratic forces to get united more firmly in the struggle for national reunification and independence.
