The mill has turned into a leading cloth producer equipped with modern facilities.

President Kim Il Sung personally chose its site on October 10, Juche 37 (1948).

Visiting the mill tens of times, he gave important teachings on boosting the cloth production for the people.

Chairman Kim Jong Il toured the mill several times to settle all the problems arising in the production and guided its workers to take the lead in solving the country's clothing problem.

With such warm love of the President and the Chairman for the people, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the mill in 2013 and then in December 2014, handing over his autograph "Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill" to be displayed at its signboard and congratulating its workers bringing an upswing in the production. He stressed the need for the mill to produce much more fabrics and raise the quality of products to the world level.

In recent years, the mill put its textile equipment and facilities and production processes on a modern basis of higher level to raise the quality of products. And it made a signal progress in its business activities by establishing a process for coating bags with cloth based on local raw materials and a nonwoven fiber fabric production process for recycling of waste.
