People Move to New Houses in North Hamgyong Province
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- Happy laughter of the people resounded in the northern part of the DPRK.

The shock brigade members of Division 216 and soldier-builders of the Brigade of the Ministry of Public Security successfully built new houses for at least a thousand families in the areas of Hoeryong City, Musan, Onsong, Kyonghung and Kyongwon counties of North Hamgyong Province that had been stricken by natural disaster despite severe conditions of the northern area.

Houses for nearly 1,000 families were built in a short span of time by the devoted efforts of the members of the division.

The solider-builders of the Bridge of the Ministry of Public Security devoted the same sincerity with which they would build their own houses to the building of the dwelling houses and planted thousands of fruit trees including apple, pear and plum trees in new villages.

The miraculous reality in which new modern dwelling houses under socialism built in the land swept by wildness of nature from areas along the demarcation line, Onsong in the northern tip of the country, farm villages on the western coast and fishing villages on the eastern coast to the gorge in Komdok are a precious fruition brought about by the idea of devoted service for the people of the Party Central Committee that willingly accepts whatever difficulties as immense honor and is determined to move even the sky and the land for the sake of the people, and its leadership.

Meetings were held there before moving to the houses.

Pak Man Ho, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, Kim Kwang Chol and Kim Pong Gil, vice-chairmen of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, commanding officials of Division 216 and the Brigade of the Ministry of Public Security and officials concerned congratulated the inhabitants in the areas on moving to new houses and shared joy with them.
