The working people of the complex, who are waging a vigorous campaign to greet the Eighth Congress of the WPK with proud labor successes, are over-fulfilling daily plans for the 80-day campaign.

Looking round various parts of the complex including a furnace shop, oxygen separating shop No 2 and crude steel shop, Pak Pong Ju learned about the production of iron and steel and heavy rails before holding a field consultative meeting.

At the meeting, measures were taken to strictly abide by technical rules and standard working method in the furnace operation, to lower production cost through meticulous equipment and technical control, and to further increase the production of Juche iron.

Meanwhile, Pak Pong Ju visited the Sunchon Steel Works where he discussed technical problems and took measures for perfecting the iron production process in reliance on locally available raw materials and fuel as required by the Party policies.
