This year's prospecting to increase the yield of spa water has been rounded off in Samchon County of South Hwanghae Province, Koksan County of North Hwanghae Province, Kumya County of South Hamgyong Province and Myongchon and Kyongsong counties of North Hamgyong Province.

Hot springs have been newly found in Unsan County of North Phyongan Province, Tongsin County of Jagang Province, Pochon County of Ryanggang Province, Popdong County of Kangwon Province, Onchon County of Nampho City and others. Efforts are also being made to increase the yield of spa water in those counties

Achievements are being registered in prospecting for hot springs in Pyongyang City and the area of Mt Paektu.

The Ministry of Natural Resources Development and provincial prospecting bureaus have made achievements in prospecting for hot springs through brisk geological survey and drilling.
