Academy of Agricultural Science Makes Successes

Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Researchers of the Academy of Agricultural Science have bred scores of new species of plants and made a lot of scientific research successes conducive to putting the agricultural production on a scientific and IT basis since the outset of this year.

The Rice Research Institute, Corn Research Institute, Potato Research Institute, Dry-field Crop Research Institute, Pyongyang Vegetable Science Institute, Industrial Crop Research Institute, Pomiculture Institute and Sericulture Institute have registered successes through a brisk drive for breeding new strains.

The Institute of Agricultural Chemicalization, the Agricultural Nano Technology Institute, the Agricultural Land and Resource Institute and the Agricultural IT Institute have registered successes in the introduction of advanced agricultural science and technology.
