Intensified Emergency Anti-epidemic Work Goes on in DPRK
Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Stricter measures have been taken in the DPRK to thoroughly check the inroads of COVID-19 with the approach of the New Year's Day.

The central emergency anti-epidemic units have taken measures to conduct medical examination of citizens more strictly in public places, intensify the work for cleaning and disinfecting open-air places and reinforce the anti-epidemic checkpoints in keeping with the situation to make sure that all citizens wear masks and thoroughly observe other anti-epidemic protocols.

Public health workers are urged to enhance their roles and carry out medical checkups for inhabitants in a responsible way.

Workers in the field of public transport thoroughly sterilize tramcars, buses and other vehicles and make sure that passengers strictly observe the anti-epidemic rules.

Service facilities have intensified the medical examination of their workers and urged them to observe the sanitary rules and properly disinfect the service places and kitchen utensils as specified in the rules.

Officials and workers of the emergency anti-epidemic units across the country have further intensified the ideological education to make all citizens maintain the unity of action in the emergency anti-epidemic campaign during the holidays.

They examine in detail water of rivers and streams and conduct information activities to make sure that citizens would not touch wild animals.

Institutions, industrial establishments and people's neighborhood units have taken measures to keep their working places, villages, office rooms and homes tidy and clean in terms of sanitation and cultured practice and to heat up the public anti-epidemic atmosphere of helping and steering each other.
