Coal Mines in DPRK Boost Production
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The coal industrial sector of the DPRK brings about a productive upswing in the new year.

As of January 4, coal production was increased markedly as compared with the same period of last year and a good result was shown in heading excavation.

Coal mines in the western part of the country are taking the lead in the production drive. Encouraged by a letter of love Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un addressed to all the people on the New Year, Juche 110 (2021), colliers in the mines have turned out much more coal than planned every day by raising the load factor at coal pits. In particular, the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex carried out its coal production plan at 109 percent in the first three days of the new year.

Coal mines in the northern part of the country and small and medium coal mines, too, have over-fulfilled their daily quotas by raising the operation rate of equipment.
