Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Receives Congratulatory Message from Lao President

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a congratulatory message from Bounnang Vorachith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), on Jan. 12. The message extended sincere congratulation and best wish to Kim Jong Un upon his election as general secretary of the WPK at its 8th Congress on behalf of the Central Committee and the members of the LPRP and on his own behalf. Highly appreciating the brilliant success made by the 8th Congress of the WPK, the message extended warm congratulation. It said Kim Jong Un's election to the top post of the WPK is an expression of deep trust of the fraternal Party, government, army and people of the DPRK in him who successfully carries forward the cause of the preceding leaders to lead the defense and construction of the country under the banner of the Juche idea and Songun. The message expressed firm belief that the fraternal Korean people would triumphantly implement the decision made at the 8th Congress of the WPK and make new greater progress in defending the country, building a powerful socialist country and accomplishing the cause of peaceful reunification of the country under the energetic and determined leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un. It wished Kim Jong Un happiness in good health and success in his noble work. It hoped that the long-standing friendly relations between the two parties of Laos and the DPRK and between the two countries would grow stronger in conformity with the substantial interests of the peoples of the two countries and the regional and global peace, friendship and cooperation. |
