General Secretary of the WPK has always been the symbol of the DPRK, the message said.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the preceding leaders of the DPRK, worked at the high post, taking absolute responsibility for the destiny of the party, country and people, the message recalled.

Kim Jong Un's election at the high post of the Party showed that the leadership of the country is being carried forward despite internal and external threats and challenge hindering the efforts to successfully build a righteous socialist society, and is an expression of the firm will of the Party and the people to achieve social and economical successes by their concerted efforts and by dint of self-reliance, the message pointed out.
