Pyongyang Teachers Training College
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Teachers Training College in the DPRK serves as a research and dissemination center in the work to improve the education contents and methods of teachers training colleges across the country while developing the educational science and technology for the stage of preschool and primary school education.

In recent years, this college has pushed ahead with the work to create and generalize new valuable teaching methods including the technology of situational education and the technology of developing children's intelligence. It applied a teaching method for developing intelligence by use of abacus and robot and other teaching methods to primary schools and kindergartens affiliated to it, thus proving their scientific accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness and generalizing them across the country.

Its officials, educators and researchers say in unison that all those successes would have been unthinkable without the wise guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who is attaching great importance to the education of rising generation.

In mid-January Juche 107 (2018), the Supreme Leader visited the college whose educational conditions and environment were renewed as required by the demand of the new century. That day, he gave precious instructions for the development of the educational work, including the issues that the curricula should be improved, the proportion of experiments and practical training raised and the educational work oriented to developing students' creative ability so that?they can acquire an extensive knowledge of nature and society and enhance their intellectual, practical and self-dependent capabilities.

In February 2017, he stressed the need to turn the college into a model whose education is put on a scientific, IT and modern basis of higher level and generalize it across the country and solved all problems arising in its reconstruction.

The college is still now directing efforts to creating new teaching methods and means.
