The novel deals with the immortal exploits Chairman Kim Jong Il performed by putting efforts into the strengthening of the companies of the People's Army, the basic requirement for developing it into the pillar of the revolution and the main force for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, and by turning them into dear native homes for soldiers.

The novel notes that a revolution was witnessed in transforming all the companies of the army into the cradle of worthwhile life where soldiers cultivate their bravery and perform feats, and into their dear native homes under the care of the Supreme Command, thanks to the guidance of the Chairman who took warm loving care of soldiers.
