Thongloun Sisoulith in the message expressed heartfelt gratitude to Kim Jong Un for extending warm congratulation and best wish to him upon his election as general secretary of the Central Committee of the LPRP at its 11th Congress.

He said the warm congratulation and best wish are an expression of fraternal and comradely support, firm solidarity and unswerving trust based on common idea and serve as a great encouragement to him leading the work for defending the country and the cause of building a socialist state.

The message wished Kim Jong Un happiness in good health and success in his noble work.

It hoped that the long-standing friendly relations between the two parties and peoples of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and between the two countries would grow stronger in conformity with the substantial interests of the peoples of the two countries and regional and global peace, friendship and cooperation.
