The meeting brought up for discussion the targets to be hit in the different sectors of the industrial field this year based on the deep study of the programmatic report made by Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the WPK, at the plenary meeting, and intensified the discussion of them.

Constructive suggestions were made for achieving definite growth of production by concentrating efforts on creating new productive capacity while putting the current iron production on a normal footing in the metallurgical industry, by enhancing the independent nature and technological potential of the chemical industry and by strengthening the mutual cooperation and organic coordination among the sectors of key industries, including electric, coal, machine and mining, and railway transport.
