The meeting had a serious discussion on measures for decisively increasing the proportion of domestically available raw materials and other materials, true to the noble intention of Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the WPK, who called on the light industrial field, which takes a big share in resolving the problems of food, clothing and housing, to make a fresh start with redoubled efforts.

Discussed in detail at the meeting were plans on all indices for restoring the original performance of equipment, creating new production capacity, boosting the local industry and thus producing and supplying in a responsible manner consumer goods urgently needed for the people's living in the fields of light industry, including textile, knitting and shoe-making, and ways to carry them out.
