Believing in the people as in Heaven was his lifelong motto.

Finding his greatest pleasure in the people's happiness, the Chairman had made a ceaseless journey of field guidance for their wellbeing. In his life, he visited many units across the DPRK, traveling the long distance of 669,844 kilometers which are equivalent to going round the earth nearly 17 times.

In the course, he had to pass 152 bends of steep path in Mt Osong to inspect a forefront unit of the People's Army and made forced march to kindle the hot wind of the industrial revolution in the new century, the flames of fresh revolutionary upsurge.

Right after giving field guidance to the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and South Hamgyong Province in Juche 98 (2009), he made a 250-mile journey to the Rakwon Machine Complex (at that time) to discuss the issue of producing custom-built equipment. And he visited nearly 80 units in less than a half year, continuing his field guidance from the eastern part to the western part and from the southern part to the northern part of the country.

The Chairman had always found himself among the people. Even in 2011, the last year of his revolutionary life, he continued his journey of field guidance for the wellbeing of the people, disregarding his mental and physical fatigue.

So, the DPRK people are loud in his praises, saying that the great exploits performed by the Chairman all his life represent his total dedication to the people.
