The joint statement said that the Chairman's whole life was indeed a noble life during which he dedicated his everything to the people always finding himself among them.

His leadership clearly proved that to consistently hold fast to the principle of independence in all fields would ensure that a country, nation and socialism are defended from the aggressive moves by the imperialists and the people are provided with a happy life, the statement pointed out.

It stressed that the gigantic feats performed by the Chairman for the development of the DPRK are shining more brilliantly thanks to the seasoned guidance provided by the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) at present.

It expressed pleasure at the recent achievements made by the Korean people and the single-hearted unity of Korean society that has been more firmly cemented.

It expressed belief that the WPK which has just wrapped up its Eighth Congress with success would continue to lead the people to victory in the future, too.
