Samsonov, first secretary of the Vladivostok City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, said in his statement that Kim Jong Il is a peerless leader who developed the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) into the Juche-oriented revolutionary party, the DPRK into the powerful socialist state and the Korean People's Army (KPA) into the invincible militant ranks.

The statement said that he set an excellent example of building the socialist ruling party by developing the WPK into the mother party that achieved the harmonious whole with the working people, strong in organizational ability and fighting efficiency.

It noted that thanks to the Songun politics pursued by him at a time when the imperialists reached an extreme in their offensive against socialism, the socialist system in the DPRK was firmly defended and turned into an invincible fortress.

It said that Kim Jong Il energetically led the work for arming servicepersons with the spirit of national defense and modernizing the weapons and equipment of the People's Army while continuing his inspection of KPA units.

As a result, the statement added, the DPRK could fully demonstrate its might as a powerful country all over the world.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, said in an article that Kim Jong Il integrated, systemized and enriched the Juche idea as required by the times.

The article said that Kim Jong Il led the Korean people to victory by successfully carrying forward the revolutionary cause pioneered by President Kim Il Sung.

It noted that Kim Jong Il instilled great confidence and encouragement into the world progressives struggling for defending the national sovereignty, independence and justice.

It stressed that the Korean people are staging a dynamic struggle to implement the behests of Kim Jong Il under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
