Under the energetic guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Il, a work was launched in the country to improve the national musical instruments in accordance with the developing era and our people's cultural and emotional demand at the end of the 1960s.

As the shape and quality of instruments were improved according to the scientific and technological requirement, those improved instruments are better than the previous ones in aspects of tone quality and sound volume.
