Attending the meeting were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the GFTUK.

Present there as observers were officials of the Central Committee of the GFTUK and its city and county committees.

The meeting discussed the issue of devotedly implementing the first-year tasks of the five-year plan set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, the issue of further intensifying the struggle against anti- and non-socialist practices throughout the society, etc.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, made reports on agenda items.

The reporter analyzed and reviewed in detail the shortcomings revealed in the work for mapping out the first-year plan of the new five-year plan, and referred to the ways for fully demonstrating the might of the GFTUK as a mass political organization of the working class in the on-going general offensive.

He called upon all the officials of the GFTUK to carry out in a responsible manner the revolutionary tasks entrusted to them by displaying extraordinary work ability, enthusiasm and devotion and thus bring about revolutionary improvement in their fighting traits and work attitude.

He stressed the need to further intensify the struggle for thoroughly eradicating anti- and non-socialist practices which are threatening our politico-ideological position, class position at present.

Relevant resolutions were adopted at the enlarged plenary meeting after a full discussion of draft resolutions presented to the meeting was made.
