As those three ideals, whose validity and vitality have been fully displayed in the revolutionary practice, were set as the slogan of struggle for a new victory in socialist construction, a treasured sword was provided for vigorously advancing our cause despite the present serious challenges and obstacles.

The ideal of "The people are God" reflects the WPK's consistent demand that the entire Party must hold fast to the revolutionary party trait of regarding it as the starting point and absolute and invariable principle of its building and activities to serve the people.

"The people are God" was the lifelong motto of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

This noble idea is based on the most scientific outlook on the absolute position and decisive role of the popular masses, the driving force of the revolution, and on the trust and love for them.

Cherishing as their faith the revolutionary principle that the popular masses are the masters of the revolution and construction and they are also their motive force, the President and the Chairman had always found themselves among the people and solved all the problems in keeping with the demand and interests of the people by enlisting their unfathomable strength and creative wisdom.

Thanks to the idea of "The people are God" and the leadership guided by it, the DPRK could display its might as a genuine people's country, a socialist state centered on the popular masses.

Carried in the slogan "Everything for the people and everything by relying on them!" is the steadfast stand of the WPK to thoroughly apply the people-first politics in every field of socialist construction in the future, too, true to the great leaders' noble idea of "The people are God".
