It was attended by Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pak Ku Ho, its first vice-chairman and director of its Organization Department, and vice-chairpersons, department directors and advisers?of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon and others.

At the meeting, Ho Jong Man made a report on the first agenda item "On putting the movement of Koreans in Japan on a new stage of development along with the cause of Juche by faithfully upholding the leadership of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un".

The reporter stressed that the meeting was aimed to bring earlier a new golden age of the movement of Koreans in Japan by applying the main idea and spirit of the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea to the work of Chongryon.

He appealed to all the officials to make remarkable progress and achievements in this year's movement of Koreans in Japan by remaining true to the idea and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

There were speeches by Ko Tok U, chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon,?Ri Yong Su, chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan, Kim Se Jin, chairman of the Nishijin, Kyoto Prefecture, Branch of Chongryon, and Jo Myong Jin, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan.

Ho Jong Man made a report on the second agenda item "On turning the building of Chongryon organizations into the one of prioritizing branches by surely implementing the programmatic congratulatory letter the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un sent to the Conference of Representatives of Branches of Chongryon-2020 (Third Conference of a New Heyday)".

The reporter called for achieving remarkable and substantial successes by waging a vigorous campaign of "the year for strengthening branches of Chongryon", holding fast to the four-point tasks for cementing branches.

Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon,?Jong Song Han, chairman of the Hokkaido Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, Kang Myong Su, chairman of the Adachi, Tokyo Metropolis, Branch of Chongryon, and others made speeches on the second agenda item.

Adopted with the unanimous approval of the participants in the meeting were the decisions of the Central Committee of Chongryon on the first and second agenda items.

The meeting also heard a report on the examination of qualifications before dismissing and by-electing some members of the Central Committee of Chongryon.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
