Increased Electricity Production Witnessed in DPRK
|
|
Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- Power stations in the DPRK are boosting the output. Those under the Ministry of Electric Power Industry have fulfilled their daily plans in March as well as in January and February. They have kept every generator in full-capacity operation, taking timely measures to prevent a decrease in power production likely in the period of seasonal change. Officials and workers of the thermal power stations including the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant have worked hard to keep boilers and turbo-generators in full-capacity operation, putting efforts into raising their efficiency. Their efforts led to earlier attainment of their January and February plans and increased output in March. The Hochongang Power Station, the Jangjingang Power Station and other hydro-power stations, too, have carried out their production plans without fail by taking due measures for overhauling equipment and ensuring maximum use of stored water. Similar successes are being witnessed in other power stations. |
