Hundreds of Reserve Cutting Faces Secured
Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, the coal industrial sector secured hundreds of cutting faces in reserve by March 10, an increase of tens of faces over the figure in the same period of last year.

The Ministry of Coal Industry has made sure that coal mines organize brisk high-speed tunneling competitions and proactively introduce advanced methods suited to their specific conditions into tunneling.

In order for the competitions to contribute to putting the coal production on a normal footing, different forms and methods have been applied to properly reviewing and evaluating the competitions.

The Sunchon Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex has made a remarkable progress in securing reserve cutting faces by enhancing the utility rate of compressors and other tunneling equipment while introducing working methods suited to the conditions of coal beds and faces.

Different coal mines under the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex have registered high results of tunneling every day by introducing efficient methods into blasting and quickly removing coal muck.

Other coal mining complexes, too, achieved similar successes by concentrating manpower on the pits with favorable tunneling conditions.
