It was attended by Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the UDKWJ, and other members of the Central Committee of the UDKWJ.

The meeting was held to discuss the measures for thoroughly implementing the decisions made at the 4th meeting of the 24th Chongryon Central Committee.

Pak Ku Ho made a speech.

He mentioned the need to establish more thorough ideology and leadership system of Juche within the union and attach importance to branches in the drive for strengthening the organization.

He urged the officials of the women's union to develop the union into a powerful organization of overseas Korean women, bearing deep in mind once again the idea of the congratulatory message sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the meeting for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the UDKWJ.

Kang Chu Ryon made a report.

She called on the participants to work hard to turn all branches of the women's union into lively ones and achieve noteworthy results in their jobs by doing many things for the sake of Koreans in Japan and their children.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
