Present there were members of the Olympic Committee and officials in the field of sports and other relevant fields.

The session, held via video conferencing, reviewed the work of the committee in Juche 109 (2020) and discussed the orientation of its work for Juche 110 (2021).

Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports who is chairman of the committee, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave important instructions for making our country join the ranks of advanced sports nations and detailed the tasks and ways facing the sports sector at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK.

They recalled the development witnessed in professional sports technique and the successes achieved in putting technique for different sports events on a scientific basis last year, saying the committee's cooperation with international sports organizations has been intensified.

They called for winning more medals in international games during the period of the new five-year plan to add glory to our dignified nation and making the fervent sporting atmosphere pervade the whole country to accelerate the socialist construction.

The session discussed technical issues arising in laying a firm foundation for developing the professional sports technique and arranging brisk mass-based sports activities this year.
