Meeting of Koreans in Japan Celebrates Day of Sun
Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- A meeting of Koreans in Japan took place at the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo on April 14 in celebration of the 109th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), its vice-chairmen, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, the chairman of the Korean Federation of Workers in Commerce in Japan, the rector of Korean University, advisers and department directors of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, chairpersons of the headquarters of Chongryon, leading officials of central organizations and affiliates and Korean compatriots.

Ho Jong Man said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent again educational aid fund and stipends for the democratic national education of the children of Koreans in Japan.

He in the report stressed that as there is April 15, the birthday of the President, Chongryon and the movement of Koreans in Japan could cover the path of victory along with the fatherland and Chongryon could exalt its honor as the model organization of the movement of overseas compatriots in the world.

He continued that the noble patriotic cause of the President was brilliantly carried forward by Chairman Kim Jong Il and that the loving care and benevolence shown by the great leaders for the Chongryon officials and the Koreans in Japan have been given a steady continuity by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un today.

He stressed the need to powerfully demonstrate the true picture and might of Chongryon whose whole machinery ranging from the Central Standing Committee to branches is firmly united in the same idea and purpose and moves in single mind.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
