Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, learned about the work in the Unryul Mine and the agricultural field in South Hwanghae Province. Visiting the youth mining lot and several other places of the mine, he referred to detailed issues for producing lots of iron ore and sending them to the large bases of the metallurgical industry, stepping up the development of the Sohaeri branch mine and introducing advanced science and technology into production, true to the intention of the Party to make this year a year when the metal industry exerts its most strength. On several co-op farms of Unryul, Sinchon, Pyoksong, Chongdan, Pongchon, Yonan and Paechon counties of South Hwanghae Province, he underlined need to actively introduce substantial farming methods and markedly raise the proportion of mechanization in the farm operation. He called on the officials in charge of guidance over agriculture to thoroughly overcome outdated work attitude such as telling a tall lie and formalism and to conduct substantial work with an emphasis put on the production of organic compound fertilizer and on the increased production of grain in low-yielding fields, with awareness of being responsible for the farming for this year before the Party and the state. The field consultative meetings discussed the issue of boosting the production of iron ore through closely-organized operation and control for expanding production capacity, and the issue of increasing the production of granulated fertilizer at the organic compound fertilizer factories to supply them to farms. |
