It produces all textile machines and accessories by its own efforts to meet the domestic demand.

Over the past years, the factory has invented and introduced tens of national inventions and lots of technical innovation plans for the country's textile machinery development.

Its history is associated with guidance of the peerlessly great men.

The factory was established under the far-reaching plan of President Kim Il Sung in October Juche 41 (1952) when the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953) was at its height.

Visiting it in May 1956, the President gave teachings on strengthening the independence of the textile industry by producing textile machinery and facilities and their accessories on its own efforts and indicated the orientation and ways for the factory to follow.

Thanks to the wise leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the factory was turned into a modern textile machinery producer. He visited the factory several times and provided it with ultramodern equipment.

When visiting it in September 2009 again, the Chairman expressed his great satisfaction over the fact that the factory had manufactured and supplied admirable weaving machines suited to the demand of the IT era to textile mills.

The factory is a historic place, where the Chairman set an example of the massive equipment management by raising the flames of the Model Machine Movement in spring of 1961 when he was conducting his revolutionary activities at Kim Il Sung University.

The factory is now producing the developed and highly productive pneumatic jet loom.
