Day of Sun Commemorated Abroad
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- There took place celebrations and seminars on exploits of President Kim Il Sung in Russia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Nepal, India, Ethiopia and Brazil on the occasion of his birth anniversary (Day of the Sun).

Speeches were made there.

Personages of the Sakhalin Regional Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the All-Russia Lenin Young Communist League and the Far Eastern State Humanities University said that President Kim Il Sung is the prominent thinker and theoretician who founded the guiding ideology of the era of independence and the father of socialist Korea who founded the democratic people's state for the first time in the East.

The chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party (Romania) and the chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania stressed that the exploits of the President would go down century after century as he led the Korean revolution to victory under the uplifted banner of Juche and made a great contribution to accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism.

The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said that the exploits performed by the President in accomplishing the cause of global independence would be immortal.

The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association lauded the President as an ardent patriot who so much loved the country and people and a genuine internationalist who dedicated himself to building a just and peaceful new society.

Speakers including the general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy and the chairperson of the Italian Committee for the Study of Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty praised the President as the outstanding leader of the international communist movement who led the cause of global independence to victory.

Congratulatory messages to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were read out at the events held by the All-Russia Lenin Young Communist League and in Sweden and Nepal.
