The president in his message extended his wholehearted thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending a congratulatory message to him upon his election as president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

He said that he always remembers the meeting with Kim Jong Un which was held, full of friendly feelings, in Hanoi during his official goodwill visit to Vietnam in March, 2019.

He noted that the visit made by Kim Jong Un marked a very important milestone in the traditional relations of friendship between the two parties and two states.

He said that the party, the state and the people of Vietnam always attach a great importance to the traditional friendship with the party, the state and the people of the DPRK, and hope to further develop them.

He stressed he was convinced that thanks to the common efforts of the two parties, two states and two peoples, the traditional relations of friendship between the two countries would steadily get cemented and develop in conformity with the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the rest of the world.

He wished Kim Jong Un good health and bigger success in his noble work.
