Founding Anniversary of KPRA Commemorated in DPRK
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- The 89th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) was significantly celebrated in the DPRK.

Many people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state.

At the plaza of the palace, they made a bow before the portraits of the smiling President and Chairman.

Service personnel and people visited the statues of the great leaders and mosaics portraying their smiling images on Mansu Hill and other parts of the country looked back upon the revolutionary careers of the peerlessly great men which will shine forever along with the history of building the Juche-based revolutionary armed forces.

Art performances were given at theaters and outdoor stages in Pyongyang.

A concert was given by the National Symphony Orchestra at Moranbong Theatre, music and dance performance by the National Folk Art Troupe at the Ponghwa Art Theatre and a revolutionary drama "Blood at an International Conference" at the National Theatre.

A combined acrobatic performance was given by the National Acrobatic Troupe to please the citizens.

National art troupes and art squads, art squads and itinerant art squads of Pyongyang gave outdoor performances to rev up the festive atmosphere.

Similar performances were given in North and South Phyongan provinces, North Hwanghae Province and North and South Hamgyong provinces.
