The conferences of youth league organizations at all levels were held early in April in the run-up to the 10th Congress.

They reviewed the overall work in the period under review in the light of the idea and spirit of the 8th Congress of the WPK and elected the new leadership organs and representatives to be sent to the Congress.

The participants came to Pyongyang in the latter half of April and were warmly welcomed by citizens in the streets of the capital city.

Officials of the Party Central Committee including Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and officials of the armed forces organs visited their lodging quarters and cordially congratulated them on their participation in the 10th grand gathering of the Korean youth amid the great trust of the Party Central Committee and the expectations of the young people across the country.

The participants took an active part in the technical preparations for the Congress, being deeply cognizant of the importance of the Congress in the journey toward the new victory in building the Korean-style socialism.

During the preparations, they visited the time-honored Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung.

The historical relics and data in careful preservation in the old home in Mangyongdae and the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum helped them feel as there is April spring when the sun of Juche rose, there are our country today independent, self-supporting and self-reliant, and its bright future and the eternal happiness of our people.

They visited "Hall of Great Leaders and Their Comrades-in-Arms" in the Korean Revolution Museum where they hardened their resolution to uphold in one mind the idea and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un with loyalty, by carrying forward the sacred history and tradition of the Juche revolution that started and emerged victorious by dint of comradeship.

At the Youth Movement Museum they refreshed their pledge to eternally glorify the undying revolutionary exploits the peerlessly great men performed in strengthening the Juche-oriented youth movement and exalt their honor as an advancing group, a wing and a death-defying corps of the Party in the push for materializing the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Party.

They also watched documentary films including "Shining History of Youth Power".

They are full of enthusiasm to glorify the coming congress as a significant occasion for demonstrating the revolutionary will and stamina of the Korean youth intensely loyal to the cause of our Party and effecting a fresh turn in the development of the youth league.
